A family rooted
in the land

The Bianchini family has worked this land for generations, building a farm that is as much about people as it is about produce. What started as a modest agricultural holding has grown into a multi-faceted operation — one that spans wine, farming services, and a deep commitment to the health of our soil and waterways.

We believe in doing things the right way — not the easy way. That means taking our time, respecting the seasons, and making decisions that will serve this land for generations to come. Every bottle of wine we produce and every paddock we work reflects that belief.

We're proud to open our gates and share what we do with the people around us — whether that's through a glass of our estate wine, a contracting service, or a conversation about farming.

Our practices & approach

We farm with respect for the land that sustains us — guided by the seasons, informed by generations of experience, and always with an eye on the future.

🌱

Soil Health First

Healthy soil is the foundation of everything we do. We use cover cropping, minimal tillage, and organic matter inputs to keep our soils alive and productive for years to come.

🍇

Vineyard Management

Our vines are tended by hand through every season. We prune, train, and manage canopy growth carefully to produce fruit that truly reflects the character of our site.

💧

Water Stewardship

Water is precious on our land. We manage our irrigation carefully, capture runoff, and work to improve the health of our waterways as part of our broader commitment to the environment.

🌾

Crop Rotation

We rotate our crops thoughtfully to break pest cycles, improve soil fertility naturally, and maintain the ecological balance of our farming system across the whole property.

🚜

Precision Spreading

We apply fertilisers and amendments precisely — using the right product, at the right rate, at the right time. This reduces waste, saves cost, and protects waterways.

🌿

Low-Intervention Wine

In the winery, we let the fruit do the talking. Minimal additives, gentle handling, and patience are the hallmarks of our approach — resulting in wines that are honest and site-expressive.

A history written
in soil & seasons

The Bianchini story began when Victorio Bianchini arrived from northern Italy and purchased this property in 1932. He grew table grapes, citrus, tomatoes, pumpkins, and even tobacco — a true mixed farm built on hard work and old-world knowledge.

Over the decades, the farm has evolved. New enterprises have been added, technology has changed the way we work, and each generation has put their own stamp on the operation — while honouring the foundations laid by those who came before.

1932
Victorio Bianchini arrives from northern Italy and purchases the farm. He builds a mixed agricultural holding — growing table grapes, citrus, tomatoes, pumpkins, and tobacco on 80 acres of Riverina land.
1950s
The family opens a bottle shop in Sydney, establishing the Bianchini name in the wine trade and building connections that would shape the next generation.
2000s
The family begins making wine on the property — transitioning from mixed farming toward viticulture, planting varieties and learning the craft from the ground up.
Recent
A shift toward a more sustainable operation: synthetic nitrogen eliminated, animal fertilisers introduced, and a solar and battery program installed to reduce reliance on diesel and grid power.
Today
The farm continues to grow — in produce, in knowledge, and in its commitment to the land, the community, and future generations.

Looking after the soil

Soil is a living system, and everything we do on the farm either builds it or depletes it. We'll share what we've learned about soil health, cover cropping, and why getting your spreading program right matters so much.
